FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
My Fine Art photography uses mostly natural light and is influenced by the 16th and 17th Century Dutch Masters. I create what would have been known as “breakfast” images. Apart from those, other photographs are stories told or scenes set full of symbolism. In addition I have produced a series of studies illustrating the beauty and intricacies of the natural world.
On occasion I will combine natural and artificial light to create abstract images bending and manipulating the light to create shapes and reflections. Light is at the heart of everything I do.
Here is a selection of my recent images, a number of which formed the basis of my exhibitions in Aldeburgh in May last year, at Darsham and Snape Maltings this year. The Brooks Still Life, Beau Narcisse Rose, Cabbage and Artichoke are all recent commissions.
