FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
My Fine Art photography uses mostly natural light and is influenced by the 16th and 17th Century Dutch Masters. I create what would have been known as “breakfast” images. Apart from those, other photographs are stories told or scenes set full of symbolism. In addition I have produced a series of studies illustrating the beauty and intricacies of the natural world.
On occasion I will combine natural and artificial light to create abstract images bending and manipulating the light to create shapes and reflections. Light is at the heart of everything I do.
Here is a selection of my recent images, a number of which formed the basis of my exhibition in Aldeburgh in May this year. The Brooks Still Life, Beau Narcisse Rose, Cabbage and Artichoke are all recent commissions.
